Homemade wood chipper

I am converting an old silage chopper into a wood chipper. In the video i show it working with a screen and hopper installed, i have much more work to do though.

something that already chips into something that chips? thats not very cool.

one thing to note, snowblower engines do not have air filters.. so all of that dust coming off of your chopper is going straight through that engine.

Great video, thanks for posting! What was the 'chipper' originally? For silage or green chop? So the knives are flail knives? Would adding a couple of powered infeed rollers beef up your throughput? Would it improve safety too? I love the concrete block as the weight on top, it's a great touch! Looks like you guys are having fun! Nice to see the innovation! Thanks for posting!
