Hellmuth was not delighted to be "out of that one". He WANTED to have played with his 10/10. That's what he says in his book.
-
Shit, I forgot there are no hand cams.
-
@Spadora1 same as always, 10k.. but 1st prize 755k with only 178 entrants in total.
-
Ah nostalgia. See how the players and sweaters behave themselves? I miss that a lot.

"phil writes childrens books in his spare time..." WHAT?!?!?!?!?
-
does anyone know how much the buy in was for this tournament?
-
Patrik had also a great WSOP, even though he didn't play himself that many tournaments. Is it really possible to get free 50 $ from Pokerfrik?
-
Oh man...between the announcement that Hellmuth wrote children's books in his spare time and then hearing him yell out his hand before Chan even called the all-in...this video is fucking awesome
-
damn not even 1 mill for first prize money. times have really changed
LOL at 3:38 Johnny Chan flipping the other dude off discretely, while pretending to fix his shades.

"showing a lot of class, which is unusual for a young player"
probably the first and last time the word "class" would be used as an adjective to describe Hellmuth
"wearing his familiar 'Walk-Man' that he usually wears when he plays...." HAHAHAHAH awesome.....greatness. It's so crazy seeing Phil as a legit person, as opposed to his stupid persona that he's milked ever since this win, more or less.
