  • @pharyngealized VERY astute observation! What excellent food for thought, particularly when studying the aetiology of certain mental illnesses.

  • I am surprised that no one ever mentions in cases like this that the hoarder is under control of Toxoplasma Gondii, a powerful creature that can manipulate its host. Cat hoarding is a typical manifestation of this condition, affected person is atracted to the smell of cat excrement just as the aflicted rats do.
