Happy Birthday USA -- Happy Birthday America -- When is the birthday of the United States of America? July 4th, 1776 any first grader would answer. Not so, imagine a secret Hippie beginning that was conceived in a Philadelphia Tavern, delivered in a NYC Tavern, and cradled in a renovated City Hall. The USA Founding was a complicated but most miraculous birth.

This U.S. Founding Handbook completely documents the nation's birth and evolution of the U.S. Presidency from 1774 to 1789. The book has an account of the capitols where the Continental Congress, United States in Congress Assembled and the current U.S. Constitutional government held their formal sessions until the permanent seat of government was fully established in Washington D.C. on February 4, 1801. The work also includes full printings of the following U.S. Founding Documents: The 1774 Articles of Association, 1775 Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking up Arms, 1776 Declaration of Independence, 1777 Articles of Confederation, 1783 Treaty of Paris, 1787 Northwest Ordinance, the US Constitution of 1787, Bill of Rights and all Amendments.

  • Had a lot of fun doing this! It turned out great dad! <3 ya

  • I love this video! not only do we learn about all the birthdays of the US, but the kids are so funny at the end!

  • When you're talking about the "birthday" of a country, are you saying that its birthday is the same as when it forms its own government? or when it was first populated by organized groups of settlers who formed their own local governments? Because if so, then the birth of "America" is a lot earlier than 1773-8.

  • It is such a part of American culture that the "date" has taken place of the name "Independence Day"! You have zero chance of changing it so I wonder what the point of this really is?

  • I stand by the traditional July 4th, 1776 of course. The holiday was not originally "selected" but rather "accepted" for one simple fact: that was the date on the Declaration of Independence, which was printed & well known. People just started celebrating on that day, actually DURING the Revolutionary War. It did not become a Federal holiday until the 19th century.

  • Well, although I don't necessarily agree with your approach & perspective on American history it's tough to say anything bad about this video. Looks like the whole family got involved with this project and had a lot of fun doing it. I have not seen kids this age get so excited about the American Revolution in a long time, so I guess this can't be all bad. You have a great looking family BTW, you must have either German or Polish roots with the name "Klos"?

  • Really gets funny at six minutes. And thanks; I learned a lot about the founding of the nation.

  • nice viedo

  • WAIT WAIT WAIT! So it was all these days?

    Nice Vid!
