Why is it so jerky? The motion is not smooth at all.

Yeah, lowlight conditions (Inside shooting, night) Really suck on this camera. I have it, and, when I filmed the sunset, the quality was so bad I had to scrap the video! :(

Wow this is nice i work with big HDV $7,000 cameras and i must say the quality on this isnt bad at all, weakness is probably artifacts in low light but thats not bad seeing it can be found for $600, i want one : )
