  • What's this cantate ??? the number? it's fantastic !

  • nice speakers. My brother had a pair of those. Sounded great new but developed "woofer" problems..... his dog pee'd in one of the woofers. He attempted repair but inside proved that the dog had been doing it for a while.

  • nice!!!!! does anyone own pair of AR14's i just picked up a pair from a yard sale for $30 and i cant find much info on what they might be worth, they are in great shape sound killer. any feedback would be great.

  • Nice Bach. Bach sounds good on ANY speakers...!

  • These monsters are still highly sought after even after 40+ years. They are truly the holy grail for Teledyne AR. Foams & domes are still offered for replacement, but don't forget the driver-sealing putty for renewing yours as it gets hard over time, and accoustic suspension is what these pioneers are all about!

Sweet setup! What amp are you running with these? Have you replaced the thin, weeny jumper with a custom bigger one? I didn't see bi-wiring, so I assume that they are traditionall

  • I have ar speakers there 58b great system by the way

  • @cmnhl

you can, he is selling them these days

  • Yeah!! Superb... No sub required.2 side firing 12" woofers per unit....hmmmm! 150lbs each cab!! I worked for AR in the UK up to 1982.I also had the smaller brothers AR90's (2 pairs) but stupidly sold 'em.But I still have the 9's and a great pair of AR18' s for the rears. All recently restored (you know-the foam surrounds disintegrate) and if you want ya nuts blown orf..........................

  • I have a pair of these, fully restored powered by a fully restored pioneer sx1980. They shake the house, even at low volumes. They do not make them like used to. You would have to spent 8 10 grand to get this kind of sound from a modern amp/speaker.

  • I owned a pair in 1979 but did not have them in ideal environment as placed here. They were certainly an impressive speaker at that time and when properly refurbished are still great today.
