Turkey-Iraq tensions

Prime Minister of Iraq Nouri al-Maliki turned to the Turkish Government proposing to start bilateral negotiations over suspending the possible military actions of the Turkish military forces in the north of Iraq.

The Iraqi official at the same time assured that Ankara has no intentions to worsen the relations with its neighbour; moreover Turkey does not plan to interfere in its domestic issues.
