  • Did the Rudge you are riding belong to Wayne Colby?

  • I don't know. I purchased it from Jim Huntington in Mass some years ago.

  • I guess I stand corrected. Can you get some photos of those bikes so I can see for comparison. All my number match on fork and backbone. Sure would like to meet another Rudge hi wheel person.

  • who is the rider? I am sure there are larger Rudges in the US.

  • I am the rider. Jim Allen of the Wheelman who repairs and keeps track of high wheel bikes told me that he knew the previous owner who is no longer with us. He exclamed that it was the largest Rudge wheel in the US. You know of a larger one?

  • whats the wheel size on that

  • It is a 56 inch wheel. I am told the largest Rudge wheel in the US.

  • I know of a 60 and a 59" Rudge, I am sure there are others. I ride a 55. The largest wheel made in production was 60, Columbia made at least one 64" bike.

  • I know of a 60. Was that Wayne Colby's Rudge? I know of other 56 Rudges and I think I know of a 59 if I remember correctly.

  • cool
