Movies were marketed differently back then. This trailer isn't inviting you to come out to the theater, it's daring you to plunge headfirst into pure terror.

I love how Prometheus paid tribute to the original trailer. Can't wait.

@dale17790 That seems plausible, at any rate this is still one of the best trailers of all time and the Prometheus trailer is just as good imo, can't wait for that.

@Nragemachine The egg might be different because some times when a trailer is released early,they are still developing the film,So im guessing that they decided to use the other egg for the final cut.which does look better than this one,still good trailer though

What an amazing trailer this was. One thing I never understood is why the egg in the beginning is different from the actual alien eggs.

YEAH this is the way to make a movie, and then entice people to go and see it.
