@joeinkentucky You have a good perspective. It is written a little sloppily... but I know what you mean. Sending food does not help. It causes the problem to grow at an exponential rate. We need to teach them to stop having children, they need to grow their own crops. They cook our food with spare leaves and feces, which deprives their soil of nutrients... further inhibiting the problem. They need their land’s carrying capacity to catch up with their population.

@uuchristyuu What will bringing food do? Satisfy the hunger of a few people? Food gives them energy, which leads to producing more mouths to feed. You are trying to solve a major problem with a naive, short term solution. They have more people than their land can hold. Sending food requires them to cook. They cook by burning leaves and feces, which deprives their soil of nutrients. This inhibits them from growing anything themselves. Sending food makes the problem worse. They need independence.

@AyoItsThatKid It depends what you consider “help”. Some people think that means to just keep shipping food wave after wood wave. But you know what that does? It leads to more producing and we have the same problem growing at an exponential rate! They are over the carrying capacity of their land. The best we can do for them is to teach them safe sex, lend a hand with crops, but that’s it. They need to provide for themselves. Otherwise, they’ll be even more doomed in the future.

@marmar3291 they need to provide help i mean u try living it a place were it gets hotter that 100 degrees Fahrenheit with no food or water and tell me if you wont need help. The only reason they reproduce is for hope. New generations are needed to see who the strongest would be. I also agree with u. we are lucky to have food and water i may even say medicine and shelter which they don't. We should donate but we should also find a way to get them the hell out of there.

Do not be naive! Those African countries are over the limit of the carrying-capacity of their land. Giving people food and food only creates energy, which leads to conflict and more people to feed. It doesn’t provide a solution, it provides a bandaid for a tumor. They use their leaves, feces, and animal feces to cook the dried food that they receive. This deprives their soil of nutrients, which further inhibits them to provide for themselves. Sending food isn’t helping, it creates more problems.

Rich people sicken me. I want to be a Veternarian, and when I am at the point at being rich kinda I am heading to Africa with a whole bunch of people who have food to bring, also clothes and clean water, and I am going to help as many people as I can. They deserve to live. Everyone should start a thing at there school that would raise food for the people in other countries. My family even has food we dont need. I would love to send it to Africa, just one problem, parents never let you do that.
