Skyline High School, Oakland's premiere performing arts school is presenting an adaptation of the Tony award winning musical, The Wiz, a soulful retelling of L. Frank Baum's book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with songs such as "Ease on down the Road." This production of the The Wiz is produced by Skyline Performing Arts Academy Director, Ms. Jan Hunter. Directed and choreographed by Ms. LaTonya Watts; pit orchestra led by Mr. Vincent Toliver; vocal coaching by Ms. Aretha Cooper.
The production will be at the Rawley T. Farnsworth Theatre, at Skyline High School, 12250 Skyline Blvd, Oakland 94619. Tickets are $10.00 at the door, $8.00 for children under 10 and seniors over 65. Advance sale tickets are available for $8.00 at the school box office. Call (510) 879-3060.
Evening Performances start at 7:30 pm March 12, 24, 25, 26, 30 and April 1, 2. Matinees are on March 26th and April 2nd and start at 2PM.
