Somebody please explain the story behind these videos.

All I know is some guy calling himself joe_cracker wrote this shit-tastic script and these guys made it, and took every word literally. Is there any more to it?

Because this is genius.

Roughly, this guy made a fanfiction. As a joke, these guys pretended to be from DIC and said they wanted to use it for a CGI movie. So they played him, produced some test frames, and kept him going with him thinking how awesome it was. The joke lasted like, 3 years.

@fuzzydude64 (...) The TLOC movies are what became of this, ridiculing him and his horrible writing skills and taking everything literally. Joe was, of course pissed off. Today, Joe is still trying to get his movie funded and still fails miserably at it... Sorry for gramatical mistakes, english is not my first language.

@fuzzydude64 So this guy Joe_Cracker posted on the IGN Forums in 2003 how he wanted to make a fully animated Zelda movie with nintendo. This was of course ridiculous, first because he is just one guy and expected tons of support from everyone and secondly because his writing skills are horrible, like, on bad fanfiction level. sexualburgerking and some others trolled him and pretended to be DiC Entertainment and that they were animating his movie, so he gave them the script.
