Here is a very basic video on how to dry hop your newly brewed beer. Typically I will start the dry hop 3-4 days after primary fermentation has started. This will allow the yeast to help keep things clean. Depending on the beer I will leave the dry hops in for up to 10 days. But that is really up to you. In this case I dry hopped in the primary fermenter but if you wanted to you could also do it in the secondary. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

  • I love your intro... I feel as if I'm about to take an awesome trip into Beerland, - which of course, I do. Just sayin'.

  • @backyardsounds Thanks man!

  • I noticed that you also use the paint strainer bags during the boil, do you have any reservations about having that material in the hot water for 60 minutes as far as off flavors/carcinogens? what are they made of?

  • @MyManDan They are nylon..i think. Ive never had any issues at all with them and from what i can tell a large part of the homebrew community uses them.
