Professional poker players Phil Laak and Ali Eslami play against artificial intelligence software Polaris for the first man-machine poker championship during the AAAI-07 conference in Vancouver, Canada.
While I admire the endeavor, a computer cannot beat a good professional player. It's not like chess where the computer has a huge advantage over a human by being able to calculate hundreds of thousands of moves in a fraction of a second. Yes, poker has a lot of math, but it's pretty simple and a human can easily come close enough to a computer to basically eliminate that advantage.
I'm not saying a computer will never be better. Just not with our current technology and resources.
poker academy bots are not that hard to beat .. i'm not sure why this is up ..
