Here is Part I, of our 9,256 Part series of how we did various effect shots in Doctor Who - Trek Through Time. This one focus' on how I turned the Doctor's brown suit, blue. In 17 different shots.

  • Why doesn't he just wear a freaking blue suit? Why does it have to be a brown suit pretending to be a blue suit? Why can't it just be a brown suit? Why? honestly, it seems to me like a ridiculously huge waste of time.

  • @thegiantbird Well I would love it if he always wore the same suit in all the episodes, but alas he doesn't. So when doing the mashup, I was forced to change the colour of the suit to match the rest of the project. It's just continuity.

  • Where can I download Motor Roto?

  • You can get it here - imagineersystems dit com you have to give them an email address to get a 30 day working version.

  • This is great, not only interesting to watch but fun, and you manage to keep the audience interested. A lot of people make vids like this boring. But not you!

I remember you told me a while ago about Motor. You've clearly had a lot of practice with this software. I still think it's nightmare to use and get good results xD the software does confuse me a little with all the different options, and what they do. Do you think you could make a video telling us a few tips when using Motor Roto? ^^

  • Thanks for the kind words. That's not a bad idea, I'll have to think of way to make it interesting.
