hydrogen power doesn't look like it'll work out... recharge station costing $180k and regular electric being 4 times more efficient.... what seems to be a good idea now is a fully electric car with an efficient on-board diesel generator... it's funny that you probably believe in free speech and hate fascism but if you could you'd probably thumbsdown my comment into disappearing. pretty lame.
That is also the same problem with gas, it takes more energy to refine gasoline than is produced. Also with hydrogen, it takes a lot of energy to make it.
yeah but after the solar infostructure begins to be put in place more plants, companies ,stores, plug in hybrid cars , plug in hybrid RV's , plugin hybrid semi riggs and homes will be running on them thats when youll really start to see the
curb in emissions with out making major changes to the transit system.
if you can choose where you get your electricity from like a public charging station with solar panels think of all the sunny days those big roof solar collecters would have offset emissions . im not claiming that this is the complete soultion but it's a good chunk of it , hope to hear back from ya
the thing i dont get about electric cars is that energy has to come from somewhere, unless it's coming from wind generators or nuclear power then it just changes where the emissions come from, instead of emissions coming from the exhaust of your car it comes from the power plant that supplies the power to wherever you charged your car, no?
I didn't notice where you said something about a 20 year warranty on a battery, 20 years impresses me, though anything under a 300 to 400 mile driving range between charges is no good for me...

that sounds great but the only bad thing about solar panels is that it takes more energy to make them than they will ever make in their entire life
