I just finished setting up the irrigation system for my Square Foot vegetable garden beds, the patio and the greenhouse. This year's setup is a little different than last years, so I did a bit of a redesign. Its not too hard, and you can use inexpensive components from the big-box stores.

  • Thanks telemarker77, I have contemplated building a box cover as it does get a bit warm by the faucet. While it may not appear so, the connections right off the timer are pressure reducers -- they connect right to the 1/2 inch hose (came with the system)

  • also i forgot to mention, it does not look like you have a pressure reducer and a backflow prevention valve on your system. depending on the quality of your local water supply you might need an additional inline filter. the backflow prevention valve is cheap as is a decent pressure reducer. you might damaged your drip system without a pressure reducer.

  • nice job/garden you might want to build a valve cover box to cover your timer if you get a lot of sun and cover your 1/2 tubing so it is not exposed to the sun.
