  • The scenery was gorgeous. It was odd also that your cabin number was 39. We need to see when you turn 50 if you have a cabin or room number 49. LOL. I didn't have to much of a problem of turning 40, it was 50 I started panicking. I felt old, after awhile it is eased up especially if I kept busy and not thinking about it.

  • Hi there! My apologies for the delay in replying to your comment. You're right re: the cabin numbers. I spent my last days of age 39 at the mountain (I turned 40 the day after we arrived home) - & to get that cabin number randomly was weird! I took it as a sign that God meant for things to be the way they were. Originally, my sisters were supposed to meet us there, but things went wrong at the last minute & they didn't come. It was a sad after all the anticipation. Thanks for watching :)

  • Great work!! and a Happy birthday for your 40th.When I saw this video I think often for this time where I was in Melbourne to meet all the wonderful peoples. Was a great time.

  • Thanks Mony, I'm sorry for the delay in replying. I'm going to Melbourne with my girl this afternoon, staying in Glen Waverley overnight (in a hotel) and coming back tomorrow night. (Going to a conference.. with some ladies from church - looking forward to it). I hope you &your family are well?

  • That place looks beautiful.

Happy 40th, Maria!! I think the cabin number was probably a sign of good luck.

    :-)

  • Yeah I could hardly believe the cabin (number) we were allocated. I was 39 while there..but turning 40 the day after we got back. If money were no object I would have loved for us to take a scenic helicopter tour which is a 35 minute flight and about $170 a person. It rained a lot while we were there and so the helicopter people had grounded their 'copters...so we wouldn't have been able to fly anyway. Thanks for the birthday wishes Curt! :) And for watching.

  • happy B-day. that must have been a fun trip. im trying to talk my mom into sending me to Australia, but it may have to wait for next year cause im going to china. i would choose Australia over china any day. hope 40s a good year for you.

  • Amen :)

  • Thanks Danny - it really was special. There was a 'moment' on the weekend where I was on a wide-open quad biking track. The sun was setting & I had given my husband & the instructor guy permission to just zoom-off "boy style" to do whatever -like tearing ahead at much greater speed (we were heading back). So I was completely alone on this track with the sun setting, beautiful surroundings - it was just me and God. I felt so happy. I was praying "Thank you for this wonderful 40th".
