This design, which is a modified version of something I came across online built by a fellow named Parax, is a differential that will act like an open differential until one side or another slips, or winds, a certain amount of rotation (which can be measured and modified using different gear ratios) at which point the tension inside the differential reaches a point greater than the non-slipping wheel (effectively locks itself) which can only be reversed by the opposing side 'unwinding' so to speak.

  • You should check out my torsen, its pretty similar, but a lot stronger.

  • i look forward to see the full model. But you know that the lego motors dont have so much torque to rotate this thing.Even if you use gears your rover will go agonisingly slowwwwwwwwwww(if it works).
