The Humm'V II (Humm-vee-2) is a dc-powered floor finish applicator. This patented machine has a computer chip that allows it to apply floor finish the way a robot would. You get the same amount of finish on every wheel turn as the machine is pulled. A magnetic sensor on one of the wheels tells the pump to dispense the right amount of finish in front of the pad. What is the right amount? You decide! For a gym floor where you are using an oil-based finish, you may want a heavy coat of 400 sq feet a gallon. If you are applying a water-based gym floor finish, you may want 700 sq feet per gallon coverage. How would you go about getting this type of specific coverage if you are using a T-bar applicator? Using a Humm'V II, you can finally control finish coat thickness.

The mop pad on this machine is also patented. The mop pad is lamb's wool surrounded on 3 sides with micro-fiber yarns. The result is that finish gets applied evenly without streaks, without start and stop lines, and with virtually invisible overlaps.

Top advantages of using the Humm'V II:

- get consistent, even application of finish
- apply thin coats easily, for faster drying times
- apply finish right out of the 5 gallon bucket
- much easier than pouring finish on the floor and using a T-bar, just pull the machine
- much easier than using a mop and bucket, just pull the machine
- get 20,000 square feet per hour coverage using the 36 inch head

  • I still use old method bucket/mop.I tried this method did not like it.As a cleaning contractor

its not save wax for me.Its waste a lot.If my costumer want 5 coats of wax with this system i would go broke. And when u have a old bumpy floor u are screwed. On a gym floor its nice but

a retail store with rows not good!

  • I imagine you lay a border coat and then worry about the middle

  • When you do the 180 turn at the end, doesnt this dry with 180 turn strokes ?
