Bill Maher on The Rachel Maddow Show (Part 2)

Rachel Maddow invited Bill Maher on her show last night to talk about Sarah Palin, Carly Fiorina, and the economy. Maher describes the vice presidential candidate as "not very bright about matters on which a person in this position should be bright about." On John McCain campaign reactions to criticism of Palin as sexist, Maher said, "If you describe her accurately, there's no way you can do that and not sound condescending."

Bill Maher is SO SPOT ON. I have never heard an American be so blunt and honest about American politics and American voters.

The way he describes America is EXACTLY what it is perceived like in Europe.

Most Americans don't seem to know this.

i guess it was "liberal" bs that put us in afganastan,& iraq . i would rather have thousands of american soldiers alive and 100 of thousands uninjured with sadam still in power,than what we were lied to. he was contained and had no wmd's..so i guess that american lives are more important to me than invading a country that was no threat to the USA

@SupaAmi although I agree with bill maher he seems to suffer from the same problem that europeans do when forming an opinion about americans and american politics: they cant do so without sounding arrogrant and patronizing.

yeah I agree, there isn't any rational arguement anymore. it's like legitimate debate has been outlawed in this country, all that matters is who has the money and the power, not who speaks the truth. it's seems to have become possible to obfuscate the real truth with money and power and convince everyone that the photonegative of the truth is the actual truth. I'd love to argue and debate with certain people, but they would never allow it because they know they won't have a good rebuttal.
