1972, on the verge of my first trip to Europe. Didn't know where I was going, but I knew I was leaving something behind. (Turns out I left the whole country behind). Sat with my old red Gretsch in my apartment on First Street in Champaign, Illinois and wrote a song with an incredibly embarrasing lyric which I unfortunately still remember. I'll be keeping that to myself unless somebody gets me drunk enough to sing it one day. But the melody I'm glad to share. Turns out to be an easy starter for playing in dropped D. Let me know if you enjoy playing it.

  • Thank you. Dropped D can be very soothing, as can an occasional shot.
