Made by the people for the people, the Fender American Special Telecaster is made in the USA featuring an alder body finished in urethane gloss and is the lowest priced American Telecaster you can find with a gloss finish. The Fender American Special Telecaster also has Custom Shop Texas Special pickups for down and dirty twang and vintage correct, high mass, brass bar saddles for increased resonance and sustain. The neck features a satin back finish and 22 jumbo frets for easy playing, sliding, and bending. Man, I just bought one and it's preety awesome! It's good for blues, rock, jazz, metal, bossa nova, MPB... As I'm from Brazil, it was a little expensive but its a very good tele! It's a Fender, and better, its all american made!!!!!!!

I'm planning on getting a new guitar soon and I would like to have one that's great for blues, rock, hard rock, and maybe a tad bit of metal. would this guitar be better than the highway one tele for that?

@yougottaloveit100 I use both a Fender Blues Deluxe RI and a Peavey Classic 50 2-12. Sounds great with both.

@Stratomite I don't know, it's all a matter of personal taste. This sunburst is the most beautiful tele i've ever seen. Besides it sounds awesome.
