A pair of WWII era P-51 Mustangs performing simulated strafing runs during a World War II battle reenactment at the 2009 Thunder Over Michigan Airshow. The darker Mustang is the P-51B "Old Crow" owned by Jack Roush, and the silver Mustang is the P-51D "Moonbeam McSwine" owned and flown by Vlado Lenoch.

  • I have a question. What area were you guys sitting at Thunder Over Michigan?

  • @NighthawkBlackbird We were sitting in the general admission area to the left of show center. Usually a large group of us meet up and sit together in a photo pit.

  • are the p-51s using blanks?

  • @BossHossGT500 Nope, all of the gunfire sounds are coming from the ground reenactors.

  • Now what was that constant ticking...?

  • @MikeLenoch5 The gunfire from the reenactors on the ground, of course!
