The Haskels formed in the late 70s. Formerly known as In A Hot Coma, the band changed their name to the Haskels after Jill Kossoris left to start her own band, The Shivvers. The Haskels helped pave the way for the burgeoning Milwaukee punk scene.
But after a while two key members, Guy Hoffman and Richard LaValliere, left the band to form the Oil Tasters. Bobby Mitchell and Vodie Rhinehart were then recruited but this line-up lasted only a short time longer. Original member Gerard LaValliere left to form the Dominoes. Undaunted, the Haskels persevered as a three-piece and released a tremendous EP. But shortly after its release the band split and Bobby joined Gerard in the Dominoes.
The only constant member, Jerome Brisch (Aka Presley Haskel), was killed in 1991.
