As a Trinidadian from the country where this instrument was invented, you make music that we created over 75 years ago. Anyone listening who is not a Trinbagonian would wonder at the touristy sound you're promoting when we've evolved into a much more rich and sophiscated sound. Even the Japanese bands on YouTube don't sound so ancient. I would suggest that you upgrade to a more modern pan.

@cassidottir I live in NH, I bought this pan on Ebay, I don't know anyone who plays one. I taught myself. I would love you to post your own pan music here on my Video Response, and "promote" your own, (spell check) "sophisticated" Trinidadian style and see if yours sounds touristy. Also, If you send me $1200.00 I'd be happy to upgrade to chrome. You should loosen up a bit, I'm just having fun in life. Thanks, I appreciate your advice.
