@JimRockford1977I don't know what on earth you are talking about. Why are you attempting to politicizing this song. I love this tune because it was well crafted and well produced. I couldn't care less about it's political ramifications (if any). And truth be told, you actually started to make some sense until you broke off with that "ghetto mobile" crack. If anything, I think you are the one with the problem, not the people you perceive to be "idiot liberals."
Man, give it a rest. Will you?

Thanks for posting. I have not heard this song in ages.

I can care less about the lyrics, the orchestra and horns kick ass -- especially at the beginning.

All you baby boomers like myself, I know what you are thinking.... What happened to the past 40 years and why didn't I savor this song back in the day. Not to mention you are thinking how timeless and fresh this song sounds even today and are baffled that something this good came to be some 40 years back and nothing in the music world today even comes close to sounding this good. I finally figured it out, there is a word for it and its called nostalgia, I guess!

the women who are married should lestiean to this song. It goes a long way toward the wife,s understanding how a man think,s. A most beautiful song by a very beautiful lady in her day gifted and talented

And by the way, this song first came out in 1969.
I find it truly pathetic that we dont make music like this anymore and women don't act feminine or sweet anymore for the most part.
Everywhere you go,tattoos, piecings and slutty clothes....then they wonder why men don't respect them.
Wish we'd go back to the morals of the past.

There is nothing "sexist" about this song!
What the hell is wrong with you?
You idiot liberals amaze me! If you want to complain about something sexist AND racist get in your car and listen to the rap music pouring out of the next ghetto mobile that rolls by.
Dumbass.
