although manchester metrolink trams are more mordern and rapid, i still say that Blackpools trams are classic true tram which has that carightor, but even Blackpool going for the supertram let's hope blackool don't doaway with all their old trams

I think you'll find the T-68's have served us well for the last 9/16 years. When Phase 3 etc is done we'll have nice new Flexity Swift trams. I suggest you check them out.

Don't diss the Metrolink. The government has msotly hated it from square 1. When it was established the Tory nerks gave us 10 less trams than we asked, and theys till haven't approved of phase 3b of the extension, FOUR years after they were submitted.

I like Manchester and although I have never been on a tram they are a brilliant addition to Manchester, roll on with the extentions. Actually the trams are italian built. They have some retired US trams at the depot but the gauge is not right for them.
I'd sooner reside in Manchester as it is once again a prospering city!

dude,man those trams suck!!! I'm from L.A.,california,and we even have a better public transport system.but besides that Manchester is one of the best places in the u.k.the people are better than londoners

well to be honest i have never been on the metro trams here in manchester but i agree with you about manchester being much better than london, manchester has been totaly transformed since the I.R.A. bombing a few years ago, its now a mixture of hi tech and traditional its a great place to live, give my regards to beautifull orange county, and simi valley
