*** Archie finished a 5 week training class with at-risk youth on 8/19.***
Archie is a treasure! He is such a sweetheart and is very loving and loyal to his handler and super friendly with everyone else. He did awesome with all the training we worked on with him and is gentle, patient, and pretty mellow. He walks AWESOME on a loose leash so you or the kids can take him for relaxing walks. He's also good about not jumping on people. Archie is a real gem and just might be the perfect dog! He definitely wants to be in the house with his family.
PERSONALITY: VERY happy, very friendly, loving, loyal, cuddly, go-with-the flow kind of guy. Nothing bothers him! Very patient, focused, and smart.
ENERGY LEVEL: Archie's tail is the only part of him that goes 100mph. He's a pretty laid back guy!
OTHER DOGS: Archie is fantastic with other dogs. Very patient with them.
KIDS: Great with kids.
CATS: Seemed ok with cats.
HOUSETRAINED: Unknown but didn't have any accidents during classes.
Archie came to the shelter as a stray on 7/7/10. They are estimating him to be 4 years old. He is neutered and will have all his shots, a microchip, and a heartworm test. He is 68 pounds.
He is currently located at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter in Georgetown, Texas. He is in the "Back 40" kennels behind the shelter so you will have to ask staff to bring him up to meet you.
