Whamola Inspirado

Take one, (due to interuption from an on looker lol) my Whamola unveiling. I made it from the most affordable materiels at this time, but I have a new mag to make orders for higher quality wood. I think the first project was an ambitious and impatient task made with much love. Did I make a build vid? No, obviously not. I spent way too much time fabricating and less time recording. A lot of time waiting for some pieces, like the fingerboard, bridge, clamp pick up (thats right, I penny pinched ok? I paint for a living, hourly work for the man, ok?) and so on...

Will be more vids on music in the future. More concentration on carving away my ego one piece of art at a time, bringing on peace in mind. We change every 6 years... this is my new path. A path I ran from because it was kind of pushed when I was a kid, and like any kid, I rebelled. As the years go by you build yourself based on your convictions... as I age I realize I am a just person, but where has my rebelion gotten me? Time to pick up the needle and move to a new groove.

Dont have the brain capacity or concentration to really give a good description right now. Enjoy, or dont. I'll give better footage of the whamola in a better vid later.

Also, mark this day as the day I watched The Fearless Freaks... and might I say there was much inspirado today... my friend that lent it to me called me today just to say "theyre playing the flaming lips at the wedding im at right now" I told her the energy was listening. she replied "our particles are moving"

@frizzlefry420oh Hey Im not sure, but That1Guy's roadie told us that he was planning on showing up at The All Good Festival 2011, and its his plan/dream for a project called "That1BucketofClay" starring of course That1Guy, Les, and Buckethead. I'm still crossing my fingers that Mike Silverman finds out who Melora Creager is and they put together a line up of somesort.

@xXxxN3MESISxxXx dude, lol. if you had seen that guy. he was like a thinner carl from aqauteen with kinda hightop cut curly hair and a big belt buckle and a way too tight white collared shirt from like 1987, with the gold chain to match. kinda creepy. at first before I hit record he was being really cool and asking about the instrument, then about 10 minutes later he comes back. whats worse, before, he was standing behind me watching me for like 10 min. *blink*

@jcivib17 theres sure to be more. more drumstick and bow action. before I starting recording a lady and her family stopped and were asking about the instrument, so of course I go into the whole les claypool influence stuff and she replies with "well whatever it is it sounded like a whale or some sea creature!" I love it. "This is a song about saving the whales"... lol pass that pen there Billy Bob, I'll write us up a song. 1, 2 Bonnaroo.

I will say that its so hard trying to describe to somehow how their friend made their own instrument which is basically a stick and a string. Screw it I'll just show the vid:)
