  • Lots of people are asking about blending in this video. This is an Audi in strait black, no metallic. I use Standox Line and this paint code requires only one toner #571, so no, blending isnt really necessary, there is no mixing. Also BMW's strait black is the same as well, paint code is 668 and uses toner 571 also. Obv if this was a silver or any other metallic you would have to blend. gotta love these jobs when you can walk into them. VW black is Tiefschwartz. also one toner in standox

  • Well said, sure is one of the easiest painting situations you'll find. Even quicker if you choose single stage masking: prime, flat, clean, paint, clear coat...done!

  • Nice job, man. I need to paint a panel van I own- ever done a video on that? lol. Seriously, though- I wonder if you wouldn't mind giving me some tips? I want to paint the whole thing and its a big joker. Any hardware (handles, latches, mirrors) are all removable. Do you need to sand every square inch of any surface you paint? Good work, man.

  • A great place for you to start would be to head on over to our web site (address is provided above 'category' top right box). We have a fantastic solution for rookie auto painters, good luck!

  • ok so when you primered over the DA mark, and sanded with 800g, did you paint after the 800g?

  • Stripping paint is probably the most tedious task of painting a car.

  • What kind of plastic is that? what do i ask for? great job on that paintjob

  • didn't he cover the key hole?

  • agree ;)

  • LOL

  • true that, il bet the pannels dont match at all. better hope their mixer was on point that day.

  • i want to know why the hell did he paint the whole door. why panel paint when it looked like the damage was in the center. blending seems to be the logic way and the vid doesnt show the finished product with all the tape and plastic off to show it all matches.

  • All the white mechanics in my city are good repairmen, but dishonest. All the illegal immigrant (Mexican) mechanics in my city are honest, but crappy repairmen! Lol!
