Thanks again Lane. Excited to hear this. I've been wondering recently how involved in politics I should get as a Pastor.

Read the Constitution! It actually never says seperation. It was written so that the gov't could tell you and I how we had to worship, or where we had to attend church, or if we had to give to the church! The gov't couldn't pass law on you and I to force these thins on us. He wasn't written to protect the gov't from Godly influence, for the country was founded on the Bible and it's principles!

Want a practical example of that? Instead of spending millions of dollars in advertising money in opposing something like Prop 8, why don't we spend that money instead on sending hundreds of God fearing, Christ loving missionaries into the California's gay communities to teach them to repent of their sinful lives and experience God's grace.

I guess at the heart of what i'm saying is that I feel that as christians, we need to throw off the falsehood of trying to make our faith 'respectable' or of trying to gain political power. Rather we should refocus that energy into spreading the Gospel to the lost sheep.

No i'm not some communist socialist political ideologist. And i'm not proposing any solution to our governments. I do believe that democracy is probably the fairest form of government for this world. But at the same time we are called not to love this world because it is fallen! And if the world loves us then we are actually of this world and not of God no? (john 15:18-foward).

Or should a political leader work to further enhance their constituents love of money? (luke 16) If we understand that the wide path leads to destruction and that its likely that most people in our society live without the light of God, and that democracy is essentially allowing the majority of people who know not Christ elect their leaders, why do Christians seek to garner their votes or to want to rule over them?

As a christian i strongly feel that christianity should stay out of politics. I read in the new testament several times that we are supposed to submit to authority no? I never read anything about how christians are to become the authority. Consider how a truly christian government would respond to various issues. Would a christ-like president really declare wars on enemies of a state, even when provoked? (matt: 5:43-48)

dude... i kinda am there with ya.... i dont see in the new testament how Christians got into politics until the 4th century...

Read Act 10 for the Biblical explanation about removing the barriars of discrimination or feel free to set yourself apart from other people. It's your choice, you can come to know the true living God of the Bible or create a idol that's only as real as you feel it is.

lets pray more each day to our lord and Savior! to worship Christ, no greater joy than this! amen and God bless!
I seen nothing but white people. Things like that puts them to question. Trinity law school right. can i go there I am mexican. Or is there something in the bible that says a christian mexican is less.

Much of the student body is Mexican. Some of the student body isn't even Christian. However, with that said, accepting students who see nothing wrong with employing such logical fallacies as the hasty generalization is something Trinity Law might not be interested in.

Actually Jesus got involved with politicians, too. It might help to 1) review your Bible and 2) actually watch the video through before commenting next time to see what the person actually says since there's no way you could have watched a 38 minute video within the time it has been activated (10:20am) and 15 minutes ago when you commented (10:39am).
