One question people often ask about this segment: "what the heck was Fenwick doing in that paper sack?" That question never occurred to me as a kid; if Oscar lived in a trash can, it seemed perfectly normal to me that a monster might live in a grocery bag.
We enjoy our freedom here in the modern West largely because of our alphabet! It should never be a secret! And Pamela should have become the focus of Sesame Street in our new Millenium, not Elmo!
