A montage from the first half of "Mott The Hoople - Under Review". This is about 10% of the recently released documentary. Because this DVD is "unauthorized", it's somewhat light on video and heavy on interviews, including a lot of Mick Jones (The Clash) who was part of the Mott Lot as a teen. The DVD includes some great Morgan Fisher Super 8 footage of "Mott in America".

See hunter-mott DOT com/discography/under_review.html for semi-official comments.

  • The most underrated band of all time,I believe there is a movie being made about them.

  • I am one of the biggest fans of Ian, Mick Ronson, MTH, Alex Harvey, and queen (for those that dont know, Queen opened for MTH)

We could argue money vs. love of music till the cows come home. Does it really matter? They gave us, and continue to give us, some really good memories. That's what it is all about.

Wished we had Mick Ronson back? Of course. But you cant. Enjoy these guys while you can. I met Ian many times. Super nice guy.

We are flying from Cleveland to London. Second row!!!

  • Nice friend

  • Hello my friend what's the song at the begining ends at 40 seconds

  • It's called The Ballad of Mott the Hoople

  • @MottTheWot This is the movie. Isn't it?

  • @cyberopbug Hi, well I knew Queen opened for Mott on one US tour around 74. I saw Queen and Mott in KC, Kansas. It was General Admission, first come, pick your seat situation, & the crowd was allowed to build up to quite a swell outside the doors into the place. I was right up front & I learned how people can get crushed in a crowd. The doors to let everyone in opened outward & they could not get them open. With much effort they got open. I witnessed two iconic bands at their near peak.

  • Saw Ian Hunter last week. He KICKED ASS!!!! Played a two hour set. 71 years old!!

  • Does anyone know of a new documentary that's coming out? I saw something on Facebook, but could not access it....

  • @cyberopbug I saw Queen and Mott in Kansas. I went to see Mott and an aquaintence in college told me that he was going to see Queen and showed me an album with Killer Queen on it. At that point, I thought, OK, Queen should be a good act too, but I loved Mott. I loved Queen after the show, and Mott was just as good. Different styles. It was treat all right. General admission, right up front.

  • God bless Mott the Hoople!

  • MICK RONSON PLAYED ON AIMEE-PURE PRARIE LEAGUE
