The point is performing and creating, not "raving". Some folks like to "mix" on their laptops, this lets you do it on your PS3, with visualizations to boot. You save your "game" and share that with others, who may have some interesting stuff with music other than the Baiyon-supplied tracks.
I will give PixelJunk the benefit of the doubt.
