@ 4:37, Kadaj is looking at the remains of JENOVA's head, after cloud had slashed it open with his Sword. He most likely sliced JENOVAS head in half, causing Kadaj to scream out in sadness of his mothers head being sliced in two.

@ 4:26 you can see look at the empty spot where he kept his butterfly knife right before it closes. You can see from his facial expression that he knows he has lost it along the way.

That's actually an interesting idea, there. The Ribbon accessory prevents status aliments excluding Death Sentence and KO. In hopes of a cure, it became an accessory and ironically a sign of impurity? Also may show that Geostigma is a sort of "Death Sentence" ailment, seeing as even those with Ribbons still suffer from it.
