The Knowing - LIVE - David Helpling and Jon Jenkins

On August 25, 2008, David Helpling and Jon Jenkins were joined by long time friend and collaborator Matthew Stewart for a rare live performance at the University Of California San Diego. Some of the best moments of that memorable evening were released on the BEYOND WORDS - RARE LIVE TREASURES limited edition CD.

Thankfully David and Jon's good friend Joe Abreu was on hand (and on stage!) with a video camera to document the rare event. This video combines Joe's live footage of the very same performance of "The Knowing" that appears on the BEYOND WORDS live CD, with some of the spectacular images that Jon and David project on screen when they perform in concert.

This song is one my favorite in the treasure album. There is a calming effect to this music, very engaging, resolving and moving. It felt like traveling towards a beautiful place and arriving there. Both Jon and David are great at composing music with emotions and telling stories with ones imaginations. After listen to every note, this is simply amazing work. The song and this video are awesome. Love it.
