@sidivephilippines Not only that it was banned by the BBC and this was in the times when the only music shows were Top of The Pops and The Old Grey Whistle Test, so the song got very little publicity plus they weren't very well known (they later did appear on the OGWT but the song had already reached no.1 by that stage)

This song came from Nowhere straight to Number One like a missile. It was revolutionary at the time.

i remember listening to this song when i was a young kid and used to sing along and not thinking or even no what the lyrics mean well now i do and its true WAY TOO MUCH TO YOUNG :/

I don't get why the older generation seem to think that teenagers today are completely uneducated when it comes to music. I'm 15 and my favourite bands are The Specials, Madness and The Beatles. Just because we're young doesn't mean we can't appreciate good music.

We are a Ska band from Cov/Nuneaton we only have a instrumental song on their at the moment but should have more soon enough, we also do the song Rat race (and we have a song called Rat Race too :/)
