Rantings of a MADMAN named Hubbard Episode 18 :::::::::

"Hubbard's Concept of Gamma Radiation"

Beck has a new album that has a song about gamma rays so I decided to show where Beck learned about them!

From Radiation and the Scientologist, 13 April 1957:

".. And out of this, what do we get? We get a tremendous question mark. Whether radiation is floating across the world or not, is not the point. There's a question mark floating across the world. Is it, or isn't it? Well the funny part of it is that's radiation itself. Is it there or isn't it there?

You know, it kills the human body very, very dead, but it'll go through a sixteen foot wall! A gamma ray'll go through a wall, very easily. Well, what's it -- how does it hurt a body? Nobody can tell you. A wall can't stop a gamma ray, but a body can. And we get down to our number one medical question. Gamma rays go through walls but don't go through bodies. We get the density of a body and the density of the wall and we find out that the body is less dense than the wall. So therefore we have to go in to the field of the mind, if we can't go into the field of anatomy on this subject and say "What is happening here?". And I can tell you, fortunately, what is happening here. Resistance! The wall doesn't resist and the body does. "

Hubbard was an idiot who made things up as he went along. Gamma rays go through walls and people (and just about
everything else) without slowing down. The damage is incurred to what ever gamma rays fly through by the collisions (and subsequent mutations if biological) that happen as they are speeding through whatever.

  • Thank you everyone!

I am a bit miffed that as of yet the Youtube system hasn't activated the "watch in High Quality" link for this video! I think their system messes up sometimes but I don't see any way to get it corrected?

  • LRH = Stupid!

  • Ha ha, I love this! "It kills the human body, very, very dead" Not just a little bit dead then? I find this fascination with Scientology very strange. There doesn't actually seem to be much real science in the teachings of the clearly lunatic Hubbard. But all these Hollywood bozos are chucking cash at his organisation, thereby proving the old scientific theory that a fool and his money are soon parted. Pity they don't use their fame to encourage kids to study real science in school.

  • @tengrigim Cool story, bro.

  • What he is trying to say is energy like solar flares are damaging if they hit you dead on. Thankfully we have a field of gravity and whatnot to help dampen it. A bullet that goes through you isnt more damaging than one that goes in, fragments, blows apart and stays in the body. You shoot a guy with a AP bullet he just looks at you funny. Use a softpoint, and it makes an entry hole the size of a hubcab. You'd rather have the energy go through you. You'll die of cancer anyways but...

  • @TalonWolf Crowley used to call himself the beast 666 but said its something his mother used to call him. I was called the grim reaper by my mom. This started when I turned 13 (spooky music) and entered a mars period (spookyer music). Its a running joke to me to refer to myself as the angel of death, or grim reaper. Apparently this limey Crowley had a very dry sense of humor and people thought he was saying something that was really a joke and took is seriously. LRH I think has his humor

  • Wow. I didn't think I could get any more embarassed to be the same species as those who fall for this asinine 'religion', but these episodes truly test my patience with my fellow human beings. I can just imagine people sitting there listening to this crap and actually believing it, just because L Ron Hubbard said so... I mean fuck sakes, you learn at the age of 14 in school that radiation can go through human beings and why (to a basic extent, at least) it can have negative effects on our bodies

  • Oh dear God.

What is this I don't even.

  • what a moron

  • please help stop this scam

  • 1:46....lol.... great vid... RLH was a crack!!

  • Hubbard was one of the 20th century's most gifted comedians. Too bad he took up the wrong career.

  • the awesome thing to look up about L. Ron is his relationship with a guy named Jack Parsons...
