[Dhalsim] Smallfry v [Balrog] BLAST THE FOOL Street Fighter 4 First to 5 games [pt2]

A first to five session with BLAST THE FOOL who mains Balrog. Now Blast the fool been waiting to get abit of revenge lol If you lot remember back in the days of the sf4 tactical romance video part 2 of an E Honda player? Well he's back and ready to land some crazy haymakers!
I don't like to make excuses but in all fairness he deserves his victory (Edit: lol that sentence didn't even make sense! My commentary better than this description!). He plays very well not only exploiting my "pattern" of fierce strikes but FADC at the right moments. I guess you can sum up the session as the Dos and Don'ts of all Balrog users against a Dhalsim.
As for me I haven't played the game as much as I've used to. Many have requested to play me at a time I am very busy to even touch the Xbox 360 and I end up not doing too well on Casuals. Therefore my sklll level has dropped dramatically especially the online play that does not suit any Dhalsim player. 2-3 bars constant casuals have drain my concentration lol so as soon as I finally get to record matches with BTF my timing gets muddled up. I ain't got enough time to dish out new secondary characters to win casuals so sadly I am stuck with the task of playing Sim non stop and that requires alot alot alot alot AND alot of hardwork lol.
Well the good news after getting whitewashed by BTF I now will do hours of playing sessions mainly in training mode and also offline arcade matches and the usual crappy G1 mode. I don't want to play a secondary as I feel theres more I can get out of this character and to be honest I rather play Dhalsim. I actually found in a recent online session that I play super well when I practise Sim for 2 hours and I feel much better.
Thank you Blast the fool for the matches I learnt alot mainly I shouldn't slack off lol. The last 2 matches were the best because we both were warmed up enough!

At 1:06 after your standing fierce he could've ultra'd that would've been impressive...dropped some finishers on his combos but he did do a great job of pressuring you. Not bad for a 41 year old Balrog...loved to see this matchup since I main Balrog =P

wDawks: Yes your completely right :) If BTF went for some more sweeps then I would have been trying other stuff out I guess the jab to pressure is enough to play mind games lol. Also the dash upper in response to my Dhalsim jump back fierce was unexpected and perfect trade for Rog will watch out for that.

You didn't play like crap, but there are a couple of tricks you could try:

"Option select" short slide->super

If you just throw that out at distance, s.slide has decent recovery time, and if he does a rush punch (except the sweep) you will combo into the super:)

The other thing is something Arturo recomands:

Trip guard hit.. if he jumps at you from distance and does a punch in the air, you can do down fierce or medium to hit him. He can't guard low after a punch in the air:)

barionyx: Cheers! Well I feel much better now I guess I don't finish off rounds in a manner that most defensive Sims would. Short slide cancel into super great against Rog but I tend to do the inputs for it from a neutral standing position or jump up. I can do it from a c+back+Jab but that's in training mode lol.

For the trip guard I'll work on the timing for it in training next as c+fierce start up slightly longer than s+Fp

I love a good Dhalsim fight, EX rush upper + FADCing through standing fierce (if the sim doesn't fireball aswell) is the way to get in and stay in...headbutt is also a little more risky but can do the trick in some spots. When I get xbox live back I'd love to play you sometime =P I may not be as good as BTF but I'd like to think I can hold my own and I KNOW you could teach me a trick or 2 about fighting a good Dhalsim. Go watch a vid or 2 of mine..the s4ndm4n21 series is quite good I think.
