Leah -- hi Nick [hugs him]

Nick -- hi, Lillian come down please!

Lilly -- [runs down, hugs Leah]

Leah -- [picks her up, tears rolling down her cheeks]

Lilly -- i love you mommy

Leah -- i love you too Lilly

Nick -- [pulls Lilly away from Leah] come on dinner is getting cold [they go into the kitchen]

WITH JEMMA

Emma -- [walking down the street] its to bad the restaurant was closed

Joe -- yeah

Emma -- i guess i should just go home

Joe -- or we could hang out for a bit

Emma -- okay...want to go back to your place?

Joe -- no, Kevin and i set it up so Nick Leah and Lillian would be alone

Emma -- trying to get Leah and Nick back together?

Joe -- no, just trying to get them to work out their problems

Emma -- they are still having problems?

Joe -- Kevin thinks so... i dont really care what they do

Emma -- so i guess we should go to my place?

Joe -- kay [they walk to Emmas apartment, goes into the living room] this place is so clean

Emma -- yeah well unlike your family i like seeing the floor

Joe -- very funny

Emma -- [sits on the couch]

Joe -- [sits next to her]

Emma -- so what do you want to do

Joe -- well we could .... [moves closer to her]

Emma -- [pushes him away] not a chance! You are not getting me into bed

Joe -- i wasnt thinking that

Emma -- Joe ive known you for a long time...its all you ever think of

Joe -- thats not true

Emma -- yes it is

Joe -- well cant you just forget about that?

Emma -- why?

Joe -- because maybe im trying to change

Emma -- [laughs] good one Joe

Joe -- Emma ------

Emma -- lets just watch tv or something [turns the tv on]

Joe -- fine

Emma -- whats wrong?

Joe -- nothing

LATER

Joe -- [puts his arm around Emma]

Emma -- [falling asleep, cuddles close to him]

Joe -- [smiles, kisses her head]

Emma -- dont Joe

Joe -- i thot you were asleep

Emma -- well im not

Joe -- i was just friend kissing you

Emma -- friend kissing?

Joe -- yeah see it doesnt mean anything [kisses her]

Emma -- [feels a spark]

Joe -- [pulls away] see nothing

Emma -- uh yeah...nothing [starts watching tv again]

Joe -- [his phone starts to ring] ill be right back [goes into another room, answers the phone] hello?

Kevin -- hey Joe, have you been home yet?

Joe -- no...have you?

Kevin -- not yet...so hows your thing with Emma

Joe -- she doesnt like me

Kevin -- what?

Joe -- we kissed and it was amazing, but she said she didnt feel anything

Kevin -- im sorry

Joe -- its fine, were just going to be friends

WITH NEAH

Nick -- [sitting on the couch]

Leah -- [sleeping next to him]

Nick -- [picks her up, takes her up to the guest room, lays her on the bed] goodnight Leah [kisses her head, goes to Lillys room]

Lilly -- [sleeping, hugging 4 of her stuffed animals]

Nick -- [laughs, takes 3 away and puts them at the end of the bed, kisses Lillys head, goes to his room, gets into bed, and falls asleep]

A COUPLE HOURS LATER

Nick -- [sleeping]

Lilly -- [climbs onto his bed, shakes him a bit] daddy?

Nick -- [still sleeping]

Lilly -- [crawls under his arms, cuddles close to him]

Nick -- [holds her close]

Lilly -- [falls asleep in his arms]

IN THE MORNING

LEAHS POV

I opened my eyes and looked around. It took me a while to realize where i was, i had never been in Nicks guest room, but i remembered falling asleep here last night. I got out of bed and walked down the hall. I got to Nicks room and knocked on the door. No one answered so i guess Nick was still asleep. I opened the door and went in. I saw Nick holding Lillian while they slept. He was such a great dad. And ive been such a horrible mom. and seeing them sleeping just made me realize how much i dont belong in their lives.
