    There are actually seven layers of skin, these are parts of the epidermis and dermis . The amount of layers depends on the region, your face is thin skin, (no stratum lucidum) so it would be 6 layers. I don't know where the other three came from! XD You'd have way more than nine layers if you counted each layer in every subsection.
