Texas Outlaw ProMod Drag Race Crash - Tommy Adams

His ashes now blow in the wind. This was the last race of my old friend Tommy Adams. The crash wasn't even his fault. Tommy survived and had a short stay in the hospital. But he later developed medical problems and was never able to race again. He died several years later, in January, 2011 and was cremated. A fellow racer packed Tommy's ashes in his car's chute and popped it as he crossed the finish line of Kennedale Speedway. Tommy's spirit now resides there.

If I am not mistaken it was Gaylen Smith who had them in his chutes and after his pass he deployed the chutes and Tommy's ashes where free. GOD SPEED TOMMY

@littlemoney41 - You are exactly right. It was Gaylen who graciously gave Tommy Adams his last pass down the drag strip.

He was seriously injured but mostly recovered. But his health was never the same, and he later died of unrelated causes.

Proud to say I used to know Tommy and raced with him several years. A great guy, was sad to hear of his passing. R.I.P. Tommy Shawn Davis

Tommy was one of my best friends. He lived for drag racing. This crash occured in 2004, but he lived until January 2011. The car was rebuilt but Tommy's failing health prevented him from ever driving it again. I will never forget Tommy, he was a unique character. This car was an original 1969 Camero Z-28. I rode in it MANY times before Tommy took it off the street. I used to kid him by counting the original parts left on it and the last time I counted before the crash there were 12 parts left.

i think the one guy should be charged with murder because he didnt let off if he let off it wouldnt have hit the wall and shot into the other lane but your friend made helped make a improvment on or saftiy sorry for my bad spelling
