In this new three-part series, leading theoretical physicist and futurist Dr Michio Kaku explores the cutting edge science of today, tomorrow, and beyond. He argues that humankind is at a turning point in history. In this century, we are going to make the historic transition from the 'Age of Discovery' to the 'Age of Mastery', a period in which we will move from being passive observers of nature to its active choreographers. This will give us not only unparalleled possibilities but also great responsibilities. (more)

  • You should notice that most people born in Arabic countries and most people born in Christian countries KEEP the religion they were born into. Is that because the religion they choose is true? Of course not! It's because they were raised to believe that religion and most people never question it! WAKE THE FUCK UP!

  • Kaku is simply brillient

  • @pastageek2 did humans invent electromagnetism........

    did humans invent information....

OR did humans take hold of these and used it for our own benefit....

its hard to explain to you why objects created by humans need a human designer.....

and why humans and all animals/plants....... Do not.......

did god create you or was it your mother......?

do you look identical to your parents?

can you describe the way in which god creates everything?

can you describe how humans make blueprints?

  • @azmanabdula even if you have to PM me for lack of comment chars allowed, please tell me what has verified evolution to the point of being the best explanation. I'd like to hear it. I'm not aware of anything proving that a program can come from no one.

Also, for a theory to be scientific, it must be falsifiable, meaning further tests can overturn old ideas, but funding isn't available for overturning long held beliefs is it?

  • @azmanabdula if someone asked you why the computer you typed that on needed a creator, even if made by other machines that down the line needed a creator somewhere, and likewise for the software, you should look at them incredulously. A fifth grader can understand this.

  • @pastageek2 yes the brain is the computer.......you are the user......treat it well.... : )

"Since a Creator is necessary" it isnt....and you are yet to explain why......

  • @azmanabdula I look at it through the model of a user and computer. The computer with all its peripherals is the body and the soul is the user. For the soul to make use of the computer, it must have those faculties such as memory to make it useful. Then there might be a computer with AI and not need a user. Both could exist and be impressive.

Since a Creator is necessary, I believe on Jesus and believe him in matters that I cannot directly detect. that doesn't keep me from doing science.

  • @redlightning0001 or reality is just more complex than a spherical chicken in a vacuum. The Bible clearly indicates choice and God's foreknowledge. Foreknowledge even if a bewildering concept shouldn't be confused with predestination. Scientists still find wave-particle duality bewildering, but that's life for you.

  • @saxquiz considering evolution isn't allowed to be questioned, I would put it in that same category that you put Christianity. I would agree that most ppl don't question, but it's not God's fault if people ignore the directives in the Bible to learn. Nothing in the Bible impedes me from doing science just b/c it disagrees with popular theories.

  • What i want to know is this....if god determines destiny, then doesn't that mean manipulating cells, creating artificial intelligence/life, pro-longing life etc.... part of this destiny.

And if god controls destiny does that not mean that there is no such thing as freedom, is this not a paradox?

  • @year2kill2010 i must ask you these........peace by the way...........ok......

What is the soul........if the brain holds memories.....then we cant retain memories after death......the problem is that the term "soul" has been loosely used to explain the how we go to the afterlife.......but never measured.......it cant be......its not there...

the body works well without the assumption of a soul.....

you must remember.....my opinion is that ghosts gods spirits angels all of them arent real..
