@J170Owner hey thanks for the comment, and yes i've tried with the "hey babe, wanna go flying" but not all the girls are all that keen, hahaha. And in this plane, i've noticed that the oil temp gauge always takes hours for oil temp to rise, not sure if thats a bad thing, and also, the oil pressure gauge has been changed about 2 times and i think the one in this video never worked.

I knew you weren't having a go at me. I will check out the NAS Reforms. I guess what i wrote earlier did sound like a rebuttal but i didn't mean to write it that way. But thanks for your advice and replies.

Sorry mate, I'm not having a go at you (if you thought that I was) just trying to help out =] Check out the NAS Reforms video (your school should have a copy) they were put in place November 2005. States how you should announce over the CTAF. "Naracoorte Traffic SportStar 5 turning base runway 26 touch and go/full stop Naracoorte Traffic" I suppose it doesn't matter how it's said, as long as it contains everything needed.

How would i improve my CTAF calls. This is the way i have been taught and every radio call i have ever heard where i live is made with the same structure as mine. How would you say your radio calls?

You should have a look over the NAS Reforms to improve your CTAF calls. You should avoid using 3rd person. Great video though!

i viewed the videos, they are very helpful and i can see the reason for them. My dad owns a 172 and his landings are always flat. He, and the LAME, are blaiming the wings. They are saying that the wings are rigged about 2 or 3 degrees to high on the leading edge, so the solution there is to land with more power?

its a fun one to practice just make sure you hold the stick back the whole way and when the nose starts gettting high push forward a bit and the plane should hop into flight but make sure you hold the nose down and stay in ground effect untill you reach vy or vx whichever is appropriate

oh ok, my instructor never taught me or told me anything about soft field takeoffs, but i do hold the stick all the way back when taxiing, just not on takeoff roll. I will try when i next hire the plane. Thanks, and i'll watch the videos later today :)
