    I love the warmth of Barbirolli that beautifully offsets the cooool of Heifetz. Notice how perfect his accompaniment is--even better than Reiner! (although Reiner's orchestra is better)

    Heifetz magical as always. I may be in the minority, but I prefer this to his 1957 recording. Longer lines, more liquid tone with still the flair and incomparable edge that is Heifetz.
