To make it less shaky, simply make the movements less in the keyframes. You have control of where, how often and how much. Experiment till you get the feel you want.

Good tutorial, but if you click on the first little diamond and make a change, the change will stay the same for the rest of the video unless you change that aspect. Also, you can use the shift, ctrl, and such to copy and paste diamonds so that you don't have to keep repeating doing it, just C&P ;D

That was cool, I figured you had to play with Key Frames to do it.

Everyone is dissing this guy as if he pissed you off, but a shaky camera effect looks especially awesome when added to video games, it just looks a lot more realistic (such as with FPS shooters).

@05naruto05 These days some video processing software comes with image stabalization, but i supopose in sony vegas you could use the technique to stabalize you would just need to keep the focus of the camera in centre by positioning the image at each frame.

thanks, well that was actually a program but you can do it on after effects and get a better result

this is a real simple effect i would like to see some more advanced stuff. it is good though if you have like absolutely no experience.
