they do all that with a pair of binocs and a radio. they aren't on the field, they are 5mi away in a pink tent with some strobes in front on it!

I think the KOSH VFR approach milestone accomplishment ranks right up there with the solo X/C and private checkride. Nice job!

Flew my Coupe up there, had to fly approach at full speed since I had a P51 following me. Didnt want to get my little tails chopped off. LOL.

Wow--great job. My husband and I would like to do that sometime! Took the family to AV08 and we had a blast.

This is on the EAA website.... Im getting my license in january so next year im flying there. I just got home from this years airventure...
