How to Finish the Kimura Armlock Submission from Half Guard

Wow, I had an opponent in this very position last night and didn't realize I could execute this submission from half-guard. Had I known the outcome would have been different.

Does anyone know the other counter to the Kimora. I was show a keylock applied to the guy on the bottom when he tried to kimora you.

I think youre reffering to following: as he goes for kimura guy in black gi would step forward with left leg, having his hand attached to his own leg.. you now get more on top of him and change leverage dynamics... you lift and twist your arms (use double hand grip)... and you create a shoulder break on guy on bottom... Hard to explain with words...

is he trapping the guys leg? i can't see from that pov. but the guy can roll out of it if he doesn't trap the leg

He could also tuck his head and flip over for a counter.
