Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1O1nf_hOBXU
An original piece I've been working on for a couple of months -- a 23-minute progressive metal/rock song, based on the fifth commandment; "thou shalt not kill".
The Fifth Commandment:
Guitars, backing vocals, production and composition -- Johan Hedin.
Lead and backing vocals -- Tobias Westman.
Grand piano -- Eva Lundgren.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at Cavalier Studios

Lyrics:
I.
(Intro)
Pacing down the pathway leading home
The weary eyes of people pass me by
Escaping their frigid gaze
Oblivious to what I have done
The sandman's gone and sleep won't swathe my eyes
The whispering of voices don't subside
A sting, release, fade away
Anaesthetized, a captive trapped inside
It wears me out
II.
Hey -- walkin' down ol' memory lane
It all comes clear
The way you lured and lurked about
Well you deserved this
And I wish you'd see who's laughing now
There six feet under ground
You left me with my world turned upside down
A thousand lies and sheer deceit
You brought upon me
And went tearing down what we built up
Well, for what reason?
You made it all turn out this way
Just look at what you've made me do
Shattered I was left without a choice
And the light escaped from the day
In the wake it slipped off, astray
Memories, what's left to decay
As your life has been taken away
III.
We escaped at dawn
To our placid home
Spending nocturnal hours
A fading memory
IV.
Hear them whisper in the night
Hear them calling for you
You can run but not escape their might
Lies! A deceptive delusion
Chimaeras of mine
Spawned to break me down -- oh, begone!
Quit your imprudent denial
Succumb to their plea
You can run but not escape your plight
Winding further down this spiral
Trapped in this hell
They are crying out my name, I want out!
I repent what's done (no returning now)
Help me find my way (none will hear your prayers)
Anguish pestering me (nowhere you can hide)
Clamps me in its vice (end your suffering now)
V.
Down by the water
In the haze of the morning
There's a breeze gently sheathing
the warmth of my skin
Pacing the shoreline
And collecting some pebbles draped in white
Ripples burst out as I plunge them to sea
There, in the distance
You draw near me with sparkle in your eyes
How I've missed your presence, oh my love
You have come to set me free, to heal me
Let this moment remain
Let the bliss stay the same
Oh, please spare me from the pain
I pray for never waking up
VI.
Yet the light escapes from the day
In the wake it withers away
It will end this tormenting fray
As my life is fading away
(Outro)
Alot of people probably won't sit through this. Isn't generic enough for the casual listener, but I can't really put words to how I feel about it.
This is a true masterpiece.
